Åbo Akademi contacted Next Live with an interesting challenge: they were planning to host an election panel debate in a space not designed for events. This meant the venue had no projection screen, no sound system, or anything else that could be used for event technology — everything would need to be brought in separately. On top of that, the streaming of the event was an important element, and it needed to look good and, of course, run without a hitch.

The event plan started with an impressive visual backdrop, though the space presented some interesting constraints: due to the shape of the room, a traditional front-projection setup wouldn't work. The options were either an LED screen or a rear-projected screen. Since the focus of the event was the discussion itself, we recommended the more cost-effective rear-projection solution.

In addition to the visual display, we streamed the event to Åbo Akademi's YouTube channel using three cameras, provided sound reinforcement and microphones for the speakers, and set up a speaker timer clock to keep the event on schedule.
