Hyvinkää suffered a major rock loss when Rockfest moved to Turku. To fill the city's hunger for rock, Hyvinkää Rock was born — held for the first time in 2025, featuring artists including Kotiteollisuus and Turmion Kätilöt.

Event organiser Janne Voutilainen reached out to Next Live regarding the sound and lighting technology for the event. Although Janne had never ordered event technology before, he had a strong vision: Hyvinkää Rock should sound and look like a genuine rock festival. We decided to take on the challenge and set out to launch a new era at Hyvinkää's Villatehdas (Wool Factory).

We delivered the full sound and lighting setup for the festival, meeting the client's wish for an authentic festival atmosphere as well as the artists' precise technical requirements. The comprehensive delivery included:

• Sound reinforcement for an audience of 2,000 in the inner courtyard of Villatehdas
• Design and implementation of lighting and structures
• Infrastructure and equipment required by the artists' technical riders
• Noise measurement as required by the city
• Frequency coordination
• Maintaining the rock spirit throughout the entire event

The festival exceeded audience expectations and was such a success that next year Hyvinkää Rock will return to Villatehdas as a two-day event. We also succeeded in our mission — the technology did exactly what it was supposed to: it worked flawlessly and allowed the audience to simply enjoy the event.
